CWTSatoTravel had the opportunity to attend and sponsor a booth at the first virtual form of the yearly National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) GovTravels conference.
The symposium is an interactive event where decision makers from government and industry come together to meet, learn, and collaborate on all aspects of the travel industry.
This year's theme, “Respond, Adapt, Innovate—the Changing World of Government Travel," provided opportunities for our team to lead and participate in discussions around innovative ways to improve travel readiness and solve challenges.
We were honored to have our CWT President and CEO Kurt Ekert deliver the keynote speech on day two of the three day conference, discussing how our industry is constantly adapting to meet an ever-changing changing environment amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Other CWTSatoTravel team members, including our President Nick Vournakis, and Chief of Staff Greg Harkins, spoke on panels regarding:
- How Industry and Government Has Responded, Adapted and Innovated
- Travel Safety and Health
- Return to Travel
- Data and Pandemic Travel
- Solving the Puzzle of Invitation Travel
- Lower the White Flag: Resuming and Rebuilding Group Travel
CWTSatoTravel was also awarded the 2020 "NDTA Corporate Distinguished Service Award," presented in recognition of our invaluable support of the goals and aims of NDTA.
This has been a difficult year for all in the travel industry, but we are confident in our ability to work together with our industry partners to continue adapting to serve our customers while they are on the road.
